After achieving everything the American dream says is required for happiness I found myself to be miserable, a failure as a husband, failing fast as a father, washed out as a Christian, bored in business and with no hope of improvement.
Then confessing our sins (I John 1:9, Rom 10:9-10) my wife and I invited Jesus to be the Lord of all and he came. Jesus gave us back our children, delivered my wife from depression, me from boredom and a nervous stomach, my children from rebellion and blessed us with many miracles.
God has saved us physically from certain death during a terrible head on collision; he saved us financially from being broke and restored us to being debt free and giving him far more than the 10% he asks for; spiritually he brought us from being impoverished to ministering to the sick, lame, afflicted, poor, disturbed, depressed, lost, deceived and foolish and ministering with power and wisdom as well as his gifts of the spirit. All this and more within the space of months, as we became as II Timothy 2:15 says " having studied to show ourselves approved unto God." "A workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." He is able! Praise the Lord!
